In an effort to support our tradition of creativity and enrich the content we present our audience, this summer the Smithsonian Institution is hosting its first documentary film festival. Each museum selects a number of films to present creating a diverse collection of films about history, art and science. Through documentary films we learn about who we were and who are now. We're excited to celebrate the work of filmmakers and show our audience another medium of education that is creative and engaging.
The logo tells the story of all of the museums coming together to create one event. Each museum is represented by subject matter and by the size of their attendance surrounding the original Smithsonian logo.
